On September 15, 2013, Bernt Katina passed away after some time battling cancer. He is survived by his beloved family: wife Madeleine, his son and daughter Michael and Ann, and nowadays 4 adorable grandchildren.

The Bernt Katina Memorial Foundation was established by family and friends in order to honor Bernt’s memory and to provide support to people in need.

Bernt was a passionate and generous individual with a big heart and a love for life, family, friends, and business. His dedication and leadership inspired many, enabling him to reach out to the most vulnerable.

The foundation aims to carry forward the qualities that defined Bernt: compassion, generosity, and a commitment to helping others.

In addition, the Bernt Katina Memorial Foundation seeks to contribute to research that leads to new treatments and advances the fight against cancer in general, and sarcoma in particular.
